A lethwei contest titled ‘Battlebones’ is being organized at the end of January in Yangon by the World Lethwei Championship (WLC), the world’s largest bare-knuckle fighting organization.
The event will feature local and international fighters, and will start at 5 pm on 31 January at the Thein Phyu Indoor Stadium in Yangon.
The main bout of the event is scheduled to take place between Myanmar’s Middleweight King and Lethwei pound-for-pound Number 1, Too Too, and Tiger Muay Thai fighter champion Naimjon Tuhtaboyev. Naimjon beat the current champion in 2014.
Sok Rith, Samuel Toscano, and Saw Kaung Htet are among the fighters who will participate in the event. The event will be broadcast live on CANAL+ Myanmar FG and UFC Fight Pass. — Kyaw Khin
