Weirawsana Pagoda will be largest jade pagoda throughout the world

Weirawsana Pagoda, made of jade, is being built on a five-acre plot in Hsinywa Myinhmu village, Amarapura Township,
Mandalay Region.
The pagoda is located nine feet higher than Yangon-Mandalay Expressway. The 133.5 feet by 133.5 feet platform and the pagoda are under construction with the design of jade ware expert U Soe Naing (Aye Aye Khaing Jewellery Company) and party.
Except a value of jade pieces and slabs, construction of the pagoda costs  more than K400 million. The structure of the pagoda has been decorated with jade pieces and slabs worth US$15 million.
The walls of the pagoda are in 95 percent completion. According to the schedules, an umbrella would be hoisted atop pagoda before fullmoon day of Nayon, (1 June 2015).
Upon completion, the jade pagoda will be largest jade pagoda across the nation as well as the world and it will be a tourist designation in the nation.
