Veteran musicians get respect of Myanmar Music Association (Central)

The Myanmar Music Association (Central) organized the 9th respect-paying ceremony to veteran musicians at the Gandamar Wholesale Grand Ballroom yesterday afternoon.
It was attended by Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Information U Myo Myint Maung and officials, patrons and members of MMA (Central) and the invited guests.
Chairman of MMA (Central) U Tin Oo Lay made an opening remark, and Sithu Dr Bogalay Tint Aung gave blessings to the audience.
the cash and kind donations were made to 80 veteran musicians with the age of 80 and above and 62 persons with the age of 75 and above, while some ailing elder musicians received the donation items at their homes.
At the 9th respect-paying ceremony of MMA (Central), families of Commander in Chief (Army, Navy, Air) donated K10 million and the Ministry of Information K500,000. Individual donors also contributed cash to the ceremony.—Ohnmar Sandi
