Union Minister for Labour, Immigration and Population U Thein Swe received Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Mr Lee Sang-hwa at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the meeting, they discussed matters relating to remittance made by Myanmar workers in ROK to their families, increasing number of Myanmar workers to ROK with the Employment Permit System, holding more EPS examinations, allowing one-year visa for Korean students who are learning at the Yangon University of Foreign Languages in Yangon, appointing a Korean assistant in EPS centre, holding a seminar organized by the ministry, the Embassy of ROK and regional authorities for tackling labour issues faced by Korean garment businesses in Myanmar. — MNA (Translated by TTN)
