Union Minister Dr. Pe Myint attends public talk and library opening in Pyapon

Union Minister for Information Dr. Pe Myint attended a ceremony to celebrate the opening of a library yesterday morning at No. 88 basic education post primary school, KyoneKutumyaung Village, Pyapon Township.
To begin the ceremony, the Union Minister, the library donor and headmistress of the school officially opened the library by cutting the ceremonial ribbon and releasing balloons.
Also during the library opening ceremony the Union Minister delivered a speech, and then donated books, journals and sports gear to the school.
Next, the library donor, U Wi Chaing (Kyokya electronic), explained the reasons for donating and transferred documents related to the library to the headmistress.
Afterwards, documents of honor were presented to those who donated to the school, and the headmistress delivered a speech of thanks.
Students then entertained the guests and the Union Minister, and donors gave presents to these students. The 20×15 ft. library is a reinforced concrete building, costing Ks 15.3 million. Donors provided books and furniture for the library, as well.
The library opening ceremony was attended by Ayeyawady Region minister for development affairs U Kyaw Myint and officials, school guardians, donors, local residents, teachers and students.
Later in the afternoon, the Union Minister attended a Public Talk, entitled “youth and the library” held in Saya Zaw Gyi Centenary Hall in Pyapon Town, where the Union Minister delivered a speech and donated books and journals for the library. Ayeyawady Region minister for development affairs U Kyaw Myint, writer Maung Zeya, Pho Aung Lay and reporter Ma Thuzar Nwe conducted the Public Talk and responded to suggestions and questions raised by the attendees.
Afterwards, the Union Minister inspected the Pyapon District Information and Public Relations Office and Library, and provided new books, journals and sports gear, as well as advice to the staff.—District IPRD
