SIM Democracy Board Game introduced to promote democratic practices

The SIM Democracy Board Game was launched here on Saturday evening to promote educative programmes for democratic practices in Myanmar.
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) created the game and it is now launched to market the East Asia’s ‘Freedom Week’. During the launching ceremony held at the Sule Shangri-La Hotel, Union Minister for Rail Transportation U Than Htay said that the use of SIM Democracy Board Game intended to give information of the role and responsibilities of governments and citizens in a certain democratic society through a simple way by attracting the interests of young people. The union minister also said that he believed that such educative games will help encourage the participation of people in democratization processes.
Then, a member of FNF demonstrated the game to the audiences of parliamentarians, heads of political parties and young people.
On 19 October morning Union Minister U Hla Tun inspected the construction project of the railway overpass in Insein, Yangon. The project was started in July, and has been targeted to finalize in May 2015.
