Shan United, the defending champion of the Myanmar National League (MNL) 2019, has taken the awards for the best player and coach, declared by the organizing committee of the league for the months of August and September.
Nanda Kyaw, the left side defender of the team, has been declared the best player, and head coach U Aung Naing has been deemed the best coach for the month of August and September by the MNL.
An awards ceremony was held for the team on 24 September, before the General Aung San Shield final match between Shan United and Yangon United.
U Aung Naing got a cash award of K100,000, while Nanda Kyaw received K150,000.
Under U Aung Naing, the team won all four matches it played in August and September.
Shan United defender Nanda Kyaw scored two goals for the team and made the best four goal assists to his teammates during the
period.
After winning the 2019 edition of the Myanmar National League this month, Shan United has been recorded as the very first team to win the MNL Championship title with an undefeated result in history.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
