President tours Moscow’s cultural sites

PRESIDENT U Htin Kyaw, currently in Russia for the Russia-ASEAN Summit, left Sochi yesterday for Moscow to visit the city’s places of note including Arbat Street, the Kremlin, Red Square and various cultural and heritage museums.
While in Moscow, the president met staff, their families and scholars studying there. In the evening, he was seen off at the airport by Myanmar Ambassador to Russia U Tin Yu and Military Attaché Brig-Gen Win Maung.
On Friday in Sochi, President U Htin Kyaw visited the Sochi Discovery World Aquarium, where he observed species of different sea creatures. He also went on a study tour of the Sochi Olympic Park.
The 20th ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit was concluded following the adoption of the Sochi Declaration and the release of the ASEAN-Russia Comprehensive Plan of Action (2016-2020).
The summit was held in Sochi on Thursday and Friday with the aim of enhancing trade and forming strategic economic partnerships through the establishment of regional economic integration.
