Physicians share knowledge about danger of HIV/AIDS, narcotic drugs to students

Red Cross Society of Yadanabon University, Mandalay and Marie Stopes International (Myanmar) jointly conducted an educative talk in commemoration of the World AIDS Day at the hall of the university on 26 December.
Mandalay Region Minister for Social Affairs Dr Win Hlaing delivered a speech. Leader of Mandalay STD/AIDS control project Dr Nyein Chan gave talks on danger of narcotic drugs related to the AIDS and Dr Nway Wut Hmon, facts about HIV/AIDS disease.
Volunteers from Myanmar Tom Boy Group, Marie Stopes, MBCA, UNICEF, MANA and Care presented songs and one act play.
Rector Dr Khin Maung Oo and faculty members, Joint Secretary of Mandalay Region Red Cross Brigade U Phone Kyaw, Chairperson of Yadanabon University Red Cross Society Dr Nwe Nwe San and students totalling over 1,000 were in attendance.–Thiha Ko Ko (Mandalay)
