Paper-reading session highlights boosting production of beans and pulses, edible oil crops

The Trade Promotion Department under the Ministry of Commerce opened the Yadanabon Trade Promotion Centre in conjunction with the Workshop on Beans and Pulses and Edible Oil Crops Development at its office in Chanayethazan Township, Mandalay, on 31 December.
Mandalay Region Minister for Planning and Economy U Aung Zan opened the centre and visited the export goods booth of Mandalay Region.
At the workshop, Head of Mandalay Region Agriculture Department U Hla Myint Aung submitted a paper on boosting production and cultivation of crops, Secretary of Brokers, Merchants and Mill Owners Association U Kyaw Thwin on development of export crops, Secretary Oil Merchants and Dealers Association U Aung Swe Hein on development of oil and oil crops cultivation, Vice Chairman of Agro-based foodstuff producers association U Soe Soe Oo on production of value-added products, Head of Commercial and Consumer Affairs Department of Mandalay Region U Swe Tint Kyu on consumer protection and Head of Region Trade Promotion Department U Myo Thu on boosting production of beans and pulses and edible oil crops.–Thiha Ko Ko (Mandalay)
