Overheated brake causes wagon fire in Amarapura

The last car of the No ( 41) Mandalay-Myitkyina passenger/mail train caught fire resulting from overheating brake in Amarapura Township Mandalay Region at 5.30 pm on 14 February, according to Myanmar Police Force. The fire burned down the newspapers in the wagon that caught fire while the train was crossing the Inwa bridge on Ayeyawady River. The fire died down at 6.50 pm. It destroyed 500 copies of newspapers, 120 eggs, 150 coconuts and 20 plugs carried on the wagon. Legal action has been taken against U Phone Myint (60), a staff of Myanma Railways.—GNLM
