Over 10,000 Myanmar migrant workers sent back home via Lashio

A total of 10,249 Myanmar nationals who returned from China have already transported back so far to their native places via Lashio in northern Shan State by train, according to the local authorities. Yesterday’s returnees include five from Kachin State, 14 from Chin State, 24 from Sagaing Region, 11 from Nay Pyi Taw, 44 from Bago Region, 173 from Magway Region, 33 from Mandalay Region, five from Yangon Region, 17 from Rakhine State and 15 from Ayeyawady Region.
Members of Lashio District and Township COVID-19 Prevention, Control and Treatment Committee, well-wishers, railway officials, Red Cross and volunteers checked the returnees’ health conditions, and fulfilled their needs.
