NMSP, LDU to sign NCA

New Mon State Party (NMSP) and Lahu Democratic Union (LDU) released a Press Statement on 23 January regarding their intention to sign the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA). Following is the full text of the statement.

Press Release

A delegation led by New Mon State Party (NMSP) Chairman Nai Htaw Mon and a delegation led by Lahu Democratic Union (LDU) Chairman Kya Khun Sar met with State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing in Nay Pyi Taw today.
At the meeting, matters relating to signing of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) and the peace process were cordially and openly discussed.
As a result of this meeting, NMSP and LDU announced that they would be signing the NCA soon.
