MOI conducts Research Methodology, PR & Info Management Training Programme

The Ministry of Information is organizing the third training programme on research methodology, public relations and information management from 2 to 6 December at its headquarters in Nay Pyi Taw.
It is jointly carried out by the Panna Institute with the support of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Myanmar. Deputy Minister for Information U Aung Hla Tun delivered an opening remark on the programme yesterday.
He said the increasing momentum of digital technology has been a part of 4th industrial revolution in the past three decades, leading to great impacts on many sectors, and people are finding information and entertainment programmes on mobile gadgets as the mobile SIM cards has outnumbered the country’s population.
He also pointed out the importance of information management how to collect information amidst the changing trends of communications, development of public relations and doing research methodology. The Deputy Minister also suggested building capacity to suit developing situations, and shared knowledge with the colleagues of respective departments.
Daw Khin Thuzar Tun, the Project Assistant of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Myanmar, explained its objectives and activities. Dr Tin Maung Maung Than, the Academic Advisor from Panna Institute, talked about the training programme. The five-day course is attended by 51 officers and staff members from the ministries, the Union Attorney-General Office, the Union Auditor General Office and the Union Civil Service Board.
