Maha Pathana Pali chanting ceremony held at Eternal Peace pagoda

The Maha Pathana Pali chanting ceremony was held at the Sasana Beikmandaw in the precinct of Eternal Peace Pagoda yesterday morning.
It was organized to mark enshrining religious objects into upper reliquary, hoisting tiers of golden umbrella, offering emerald bowl and golden lotus robe, and consecration of the pagoda.

At the ceremony, Union Minister Thura U Aung Ko and congregation took the Nine Precepts from the Presiding Sayadaw of Maha Visudayama Zaygone Monastery in Pyinmana Town Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Dr Bhatanda Kavisara and listened to Paritta verses recited by members of Sangha.
The Union Minister and congregation offered offertories, Maha Pathana Paritta pot and books printed in Maha Pathana Pali. They poured water to evince the act of making
donation.
Then, Presiding Sayadaw and Members of Sangha recited the Maha Pathana Pali. A total of 18 members of Sangha are chanting the Maha Pathana Pali in turn till 9 November. —Hein Min Soe
