Maha Pathana Pali chanting ceremony concludes at Eternal Peace Pagoda

THE Maha Pathana Pali chanting ceremony concluded at the Sasana Beikman 2 in the precinct of Eternal Peace Pagoda yesterday morning.
At the ceremony, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko and congregation took the Nine Precepts from the Presiding Sayadaw of Bhaddanta Janinda Pariyatti Monastery Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Bhaddanta Janinda and listened to Paritta verses recited by members of the Sangha.
The Union Minister and congregation offered offertories. They listened to Sermon from the Presiding Sayadaw of Paukmyaing Pariyatti Monastery and poured water to evince the act of making donation.
The ceremonies of enshrining religious objects into upper reliquary, hoisting tiers of golden umbrella, offering emerald bowl and golden lotus robe, and consecration of the Eternal Peace Pagoda will be broadcast live on the fullmoon of Tazaungmon by Myanma Radio and Television. Eternal Peace Pagoda, near Gangaw flower roundabout, Yazathingaha Street, Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, was built by State government and Myanmar people. —MNA (Translated by TTN)
