Incident Handling & CSIRT Management Course conducted at MOI

Ministry of Information is hosting the Incident Handling & Computer Security Incident Response Team Management Course, while cyber security issue has been crucial for the ministries while the country is developing an e-Government system.

Deputy Minister for Information U Aung Hla Tun made an opening remark at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning, with emphasis on importance of the course amidst an increasing trend of the Fourth Industrial Revolution that has caused dramatic changes in lifestyles, including access to information, thanks to developing technologies.
He also suggested all social media users, including civil service staff, to have knowledge of scrutinizing fake news, rumours, and hoax news going viral on social media.
The Deputy Minister also advised the trainees to reapply cyber security knowledge from this course for the country.
U Ye Naing Moe, the Director of Department of Information Technology and Cyber Security under the Ministry of Transport and Communications, explained the course and its subjects for 18 trainees from the Ministry of Information.—MNA
