From social networks, strengthen cultural values and ethics

In just a few years, it has already changed the landscape of communications, business, and education.
Facebook has become a widespread social media since it was introduced ten years ago in Myanmar. In social media, prominent persons from different professional fields, such as politics, economics, social, culture and arts, can be found, and people from different communities become friends on the social network.
In fact, the social network provides a platform for everyone to share their experiences and express their voices over different issues. Also, professionals from different fields advertise their skills in the social media.
Some have become prominent after they demonstrated their talent and skills on social media.
Indeed, the use of social media is on the rise. It is everywhere, encroaching on all aspects of our lives. We can access it with just a tap on our smartphones, tablets, and computers.
From time to time, we have met long-lost friends along the way and learned what they’re doing now. Social media is a great way to maintain those connections. Name-search features allow us to reconnect with long-lost friends and network with people we want to know better.
Through social networking websites, we can communicate faster and more easily. We can reach out to those who are asking for help and can share our thoughts and opinions in a matter of seconds.
The mainstream social networks are most devoted to freedom of speech and encourage diversity and friendship through exchanging views with each other.
Depending on their different backgrounds, social network users, who do not know or see each other in the outside world, can dispute or debate over their different views.
However, those debates or disagreements should not lead to hate speech.
In our country, people are being found to have used social media, rather than print media, especially on Facebook.
People use social media to have an opportunity to freely disclose their feelings through Facebook.
Generally, Facebook pages are full of hate speech and false news, and the public need to judge these. For false news and hate speech can increase doubts and hatred among races, religions and organizations. People will accept good or bad consequences based upon their judgments. Hence, the people are urged to have learnt how to effectively use social media.
