Experts discuss Gmail and Google Account Security at seminar at UMFCCI

Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) and US-ICT Council jointly organized “Gmail and Google Account Security Seminar” at UMFCCI Mingala Hall on the morning of 18 October. Myanmar was reported to have designated the month of October as Myanmar Cyber Security Month.
UMFCCI Vice President U Thaung Tin said, “US-ICT Council was formed by American IT companies and had signed a MoU with UMFCCI to help in the usage of IT in economic sector. Today’s event was part of the MoU.”
The event was held to inform about security in using Google products such as Gmail, Google Search, Google Map, Google Translate and Youtube that were widely used in Myanmar.
At the event Google Public Head of Thailand Mr. Jirawat Poomsrikaew explained about creating Google Account, maintaining personal data, security system and Cyber Security followed by a question and answer session.
The event was attended by UMFCCI Vice President U Thaung Tin, officials from Google and US-ICT Council for Myanmar and interested persons. — UMFCCI (Translated by Zaw Min)
