THE Ministry of Electricity and Energy is planning to distribute fuel to gas buses in Yangon Region as part of its 100-day plan according to the general manager of the CNG department of Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise yesterday.
U Hla Win Htay spoke of the plan to distribute fuel to 65 BRT buses, adding that 30 buses received 600 litres of gas a day in the first week of May.
“The distribution of gas will be made to the remaining 35 buses.” The sales began at the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Station No. 042 in Mingaladon township on Monday, the general manager said.
There are 46 gas stations across the country, with 41 in Yangon alone. They supply gas to 28,233 vehicles on a daily basis.
