Coord meeting discusses systemizing Chinese visits to develop sustainable tourism

The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism held a coordination meeting at its office yesterday to provide systematic travel services to Chinese travellers in Myanmar, to conduct business in line with rules and regulations, and to ensure benefits to those who work together with the nation and to the local residents in tandem with the increase in the number of visitors to the country.
The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary U Brathsim and department officials, officials from Myanmar Tourism Federation, Myanmar Tourism Entrepreneur Association and Myanmar-China Tourism Development Committee, and officials from travel agencies providing services to Chinese tourists attended the meeting.
Union Minister U Ohn Maung first delivered a speech where he urged the participants to openly communicate their ideas and opinions on forming the necessary policies and strategies to implement sustainable tourism that will benefit the nation and everyone working in the tourism sector. After general discussions, the Union Minister delivered the closing speech where he said the Union Government is reviewing which restrictions to nullify and requested everyone working in this sector to conduct their business systematically and within the rules. —MNA (Translated by Zaw Htet Oo)
