Chinese actress donates to orphanage in Mingaladon

Qiao Xin, the main actress of the Chinese drama series ‘Ode to Joy’, and crew made donations to the Andrew Youth Orphanage in Gontalapaung Village, Mingaladon Township, yesterday morning.
The 2016 Chinese drama series is currently airing on MRTV.
During the donation ceremony, the children performed dances and Oh Lian Htan, the founder of the home, first spoke words of gratitude. Qiao Xin then spoke words of encouragement to the kids and handed over the donations. She then took a documentary photo with everyone.
The donations include school accessories, rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, juice and other foodstuffs for a hundred students.
The Andrew Youth Orphanage was founded in 1995 and currently houses 78 orphans including 6 matriculation students, 12 ninth-graders and 11 eighth-graders. —Zaw Min Latt (Translated by Zaw Htet Oo)
