Bago regional residents donate medical supplies to fight Covid-19

Well-wishers in Bago Region have donated medical supplies to the regional committee on Prevention, Control, and Treatment of Coronavirus in a bid to help fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The locals started to donate medical items, which are necessary items for hospitals, on 26 March. On 28 March, the committee has received K4.8 million worth 60 backpack sprayers donated by Naylawun rice mill and warehouse family, K10 million worth 125 backpack sprayers by Kanbo Co., Ltd and 100 PPE (personal protective equipment), 400 rubber gloves, 33 medical googles, and 120 masks by Excellent Fortune Foundation to help medical professionals and disinfect the regions.
Bago Region Chief Minister U Win Thein and U Nyunt Shwe, head of the regional committee on prevention, control, and treatment of COVID-19 gave the certificates of honour to the donors.
As of 28 March, a total of 2,337 Myanmar nationals have returned to the region from foreign countries, with 1,577 in Bago District, 128 in Pyay District and 632 in Thayawady District. Now, 1,103 are placed in home quarantine and 1,230, in facility quarantine. Four people are isolated at each hospital. —Tin Soe (Bago) (Translated by Ei Myat Mon)
