Yunnan Province sends second relief convoy

A second convoy of 12 vehicles carrying relief aid for Myanmar flood victims from China’s Yunnan Province arrived in Mandalay on Friday.
The director of the province’s Foreign Affairs Department led the convoy.
The director and the Mandalay-based Chinese Consul-General handed over the relief aid to Deputy Director-General U Aung Khaing of the Relief and Resettlement Department.
Yunnan Province donated 150 ready-made houses, 10,000 packages of purified drinking water bottles, 880 bulbs, 2,000 T-shirts, 50 tons of rice and 1,000 emergency lifejackets.
Police and firefighters unloaded the relief aid from the vehicles.
Nine Chinese construction technicians will demonstrate installation of parts for the ready-made houses.
