Trading time on Yangon Stock Exchange (YSX) will be extended to four times a day starting in April, according to the YSX Anniversary Forum held on 25th March at YSX office.
Currently, stock trading on YSX is opened twice a day at 11am and 1am. The extension of trading time aims to gain a mofre vibrant stock market.
If this plan brings a fruitful result, the stock trading time will possibly extend to six times per day, with the bylaws being drawn up, said U Yin Zaw Myo, the managing director of Yangon Stock Exchange.
The meetings will be held to set the timings of stock trading and the result will be submitted to the commission to approve, it is learnt.
The details of trading times will be publicised and disclosed through the YSX website.
