Yangon United ties with Shan United 1-1 in U-19 MNL 2019

THE Week 15 match between Yangon United and Shan United in the U-19 Myanmar National League 2019, held yesterday at the Yangon United Sports Complex in Yangon, ended in a 1-1 draw.
Both teams played energetically right from the start.
Yangon United had prepared well for yesterday’s match, and exhibited a flawless defence and good tackling skills.
With tremendous support from fans, Yangon United madethe opening goal at the 4th minute.
The goal was scored by Yangon youth player Than Toe Aung.
The first half ended with Yangon United leading by one goal.
In the second half, both teams changed tactics and stepped up their play. Shan United finally scored the equalizer at the 70th minute.
The goal was scored by Pyae Phyo Wai, with skilful play, managing to trick Yangon United’s defense and take the ball past a shocked Yangon keeper.
Shan United made repeated efforts to score more goals in the later minutes.
But, the efforts of Shan United’s strikers were in vain, as Yangon United’s defenders and midfielders were too strong, making it difficult to pass the ball further than the midfield.
When the final whistle was blown, both teams were tied at 1-1.
Although the match ended in a draw, Shan United is still leading the standing table with 41 points.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
