Yabba and Guns seized in Taninthayi

LOCAL police seized Yabba pills (a synthetic-amphetamine based narcotic) and guns from a house near Bawdikan village, Taninthayi township, on Thursday. Acting on a tip-off, members of the police searched the house of one  U Naung Pyu and found 10.2 kilogram of Yabba, 1633 grams of opium powder, a fibre gun, which are made in Thailand, 12 bullets.
Local police are pursuing U Naung Pyu who managed to escape from the scene.
