THE Work Committee for Regional Resettlement and Socio-economic Development held its 3/2016 meeting in Sittwe, Rakhine State, discussing projects to be implemented in Rakhine State.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the committee Dr Win Mya Aye, the Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, urged the ministries concerned to scrutinise and to report on their projects and the projects of the committee to the Central Committee for Rakhine State Stability and Development Implementation Committee.
The participants of the meeting discussed measures taken for resettlement, power supply, education, construction and rural area development.
Following the meeting, Union Minister Dr Win Myat Aye handed over 22 fibre boats worth K22 million and the Myanmar Pharmaceuticals and Medical Equipment Entrepreneurs Association handed over medicines worth more than K7 million to the Rakhine State Planning, Economic and Finance minister and Rakhine State minister for social affairs.
