‘WELL DONE MYANMAR’ — Modi and Ban Ki-moon praise general elections

THE Prime Minister of India Mr Narendra Modi and United Nations General Secretary Mr Ban Ki-moon phoned President U Thein Sein on Thursday to praise Myanmar’s successful general elections, which were held on 8 November.
Both leaders praised the Myanmar government and everyone involved for the smooth and peaceful elections in 2015. They reiterated their willingness to be involved in Myanmar’s reform process, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.—Myanmar News Agency
