Volunteers clean classrooms to reopen schools

DSC06457Basic education schools in Taungtha Township have been closed due to flooding since the Ayeyawady River burst its banks on 1 August.
After the water level of the river receded on 12 August, officials of the Township Disaster Management Committee arranged to reopen the basic education schools in villages. Township officials joined hands with local residents, firefighters and volunteers from social organizations to cleaned the classrooms in preparation to  reopen the schools as soon as possible.
