Violent armed attackers ambushes convoy of border guards and government staffs, explodes a bridge in Rakhine

A convoy of border guard police and government staffs in Kyikanpyin, Maungtaw, were attacked at Baily Bridge 38 by violent armed attackers near Maunghnama Village yesterday.
The attackers set off an improvised explosive device as the convoy approached the bridge and advanced, but border guards repelled the men, forcing them to retreat. No one was injured in the attack, but a vehicle was damaged. Security forces are pursuing the attackers.
