Village in Tatkon Tsp gets upgraded high school

DSC02099Tatkon, 21 June —An affiliated high school in Taungbotha village in Tatkon Township, Mandalay Region, in central Myanmar was upgraded to a full-fledged high school on Saturday. Parliament representative U Maung O, members of the Nay Pyi Taw Council and the district education officer officially opened the school, which was built in 1957 as a primary school. It became a middle school in 1955 and was upgraded to an affiliated school in 1998. Located on 5.26 acres of land, the school accommodates nearly 500 students from eight nearby villages.
