Vice-President U Nyan Tun urges athletes to bring glory to nation through Union Spirit

Vice-President U Nyan Tun graced the closing ceremony of the 4th Myanmar Sports Festival and presented trophies winning teams at Wunnatheikdhi Stadium on Saturday.
In his closing speech, the Vice-President stressed the need of intensive training for achieving success in the upcoming 28th SEA Games and the 8th ASEAN Para Games as the purpose of organizing the sports event was to meet success there. He also wished athletes would bring glory to the country through the Union Spirit gained at this festival.
Accompanied by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of Constitutional Tribunal of the Union U Mya Thein, Chairman of the Union Election Commission, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Union ministers, deputy ministers, senior military officers and officials, the Vice-President enjoyed the men’s football final match between Mandalay Region and Kayin State.
Next, the Vice-President presented Myanmar Sports Festival’s championship trophy to Yangon Region, and Union Ministers U Tint Hsan and U Thein Nyunt awarded Mandalay Region and Bago Region who stood second and third respectively.
