Vice President U Myint Swe inspects Chindwin bridge construction

Vice President U Myint Swe reached the construction site of Chindwin Bridge, accompanied by Union Ministers Myo Thein Gyi, Dr Myint Htwe, Regional Cabinet’s Chief Minister Dr Myint Naing, Commander Brig-Gen Thet Pon and deputy ministers via Khanti by helicopters with deputy director of the bridge construction clarifying facts on the brigade, budget allotment and situations concerning completion of the bridge.
The VP and party then proceeded to Fhalam hospital, Chin State by helicopter, meeting with patients and offering words of encouragement.
Upon arriving at Haka, they met with departmental heads of government services, town and village-elders and locals at Botaikchoon Hall of Haka Basic Education High School. At the meeting, Union Minister Dr Myint Htwe fulfilled the needs of the hospital.
“We are here to fulfill the needs of the regional development of education and health”, the vice president said at the meeting. “A college will emerge in Chin State very soon, so students in the state are going to have a chance to pursue university education in Haka. Peace and stability is essentially needed for the progress of the region.
The vice president said all national races need to take part in the Union Peace Conference. As part of the quest for peace and stability, steps are being taken to equalize development across all states and regions, he said. In addition, bridges are being built along the route linking the state with the mainland, along with other improvements.
“On completion of the building of Falam airport, transportation will be better” he said. “Budgets for educational and health sectors are being spent more than before. With a view to distributing power via high-voltage grid lines for Chin State, Pale-Gangaw-Haka-Falam grid line have been installed.”
The VP presented exercise books for schools in Chin State and inspected the new school building, followed by submission of the regional needs from a townelder.—Myanmar News AgencyDSC_3906
