Vice President U Myint Swe attends 62nd Kayin State Day ceremony

Vice-President U Myint Swe attended the 62nd anniversary ceremony of Kayin State Day in Myawady yesterday.
Present at the ceremony were Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Nai Thet Lwin, Kayin State Chief Minister Nan Khin Htwe Myint, Speaker of Kayin State Hluttaw U Saw Chit Khin, Commander of South-Eastern Command Major General Myo Win, Chairman of KNU Saw Mutu Sae Phoe, Deputy Speaker of State Hluttaw, Kayin State Cabinet’s ministers, Hluttaw representatives, members of Kayin National Traditional Culture, social societies, responsible officials, armed national groups under ceasefire, invited guests and local people.
At the ceremony, Union Minister Nai Thet Lwin, Kayin State Chief Minister Nan Khin Htwe Myint and Speaker of State Hluttaw U Saw Chit Khin presided over the ceremony.
First of all, those present at the ceremony paid salutes to the State Flag of the Myanmar, Fallen Martyrs and comrades. After that, U Saw Chit Khin read out the message to the 62nd anniversary of Kayin State Day, 2017 sent from President U Htin Kyaw, followed by the address in commemoration of 62nd Kayin State Day from Daw Nan Khin Htwe Myint, Chief Minister of the Kayin State Cabinet.
Following that, Kayin State Chief Minister, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Kayin State Hluttaw, Kayin State Chief Auditor, State Ministers and responsible officials presented those who gained honourary outstanding awards of Kayin State with prizes.
In addition, Vice-President U Myint Swe, Union Minister Nai Thet Lwin, Kayin State Chief Minister Daw Nan Khin Htwe Myint, State Hluttaw Speaker U Saw Chit Khin and Chairman of Kayin State Election Commission U Kyaw Win Maung opened the ceremony by cutting the ribbon, posing for a documentary photo together with those present at the ceremony and inspecting the exhibitions.
From there, Vice-President, Union Minister and members proceeded by cars, arriving at Myawady where VP and members met with Hluttaw representatives, departmental heads, businessmen and merchants’ associations.
In the meeting, U Yan Naing Tun, director-general of trade department explained concerning situations on tax collection, in and out of vehicles into the trade zone and development of Myawady trade zone.—Myanmar News Agency
