Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win received the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Envoy on Myanmar Mrs Christine Schraner Burgener yesterday at the Bayintnaung Guest House in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, they openly discussed evacuation and emergency aid provided by Tatmadaw members in current flood-hit areas, activities of AA group to disrupt the stability in Rakhine State, the Tatmadaw’s services in Rakhine State in accordance with the law to provide security and stability to the state, cooperation between the Tatmadaw and CTFMR in preventing recruitment of minors for military service, measures taken to accept the displaced persons who left Rakhine State and allowing humanitarian organizations to visit conflict areas in Rakhine State. — MNA (Translated by Tun Tun Naing)
