Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Nai Thet Lwin received states/regions ethnic affairs ministers at the Union Minister’s residence in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon. The states/regions ethnic affairs ministers were in Nay Pyi Taw to attend the 72nd Union Day ceremony.
At the meeting enactment of Ethnic Rights Protection Rule; easing and smoothening the acquisition of loans for ethnic national SMEs to raise the socio-economic situation of ethnic nationals; developing, maintaining and protecting of ethnic traditional cultures; supporting and assisting to hold yearly the Ethnics Culture Fest held recently in Yangon; and more cooperation on ethnic affairs in states and regions were discussed. Later the Union Minister and wife offered coffee, tea, soft drinks and snacks to the states/regions ethnic affairs ministers and continued the cordial and open discussion on ethnic affairs. — MNA (Translated by Zaw Min)
