Union Chief Justice attends CACJ Special Meeting in Philippines

Union Chief Justice U Htun Htun Oo attended Special Meeting of the ASEAN Chief Justices Council (CACJ) started from 27 October in Makati City, Philippines.
The meeting was attended by ASEAN’s Chief Justices and representatives and discussed about implementation of the Internet Portal in accordance with the information of ASEAN judiciary organization, training and cooperation for justice and judicial officials, observation and analysis on the application of Court Technology and Case Management, solution for family crimes and illegal passing border cases of children and finding a way for Facilitating the Service of Civil Process.
To launch Standing CACJ Secretariat and implementation of Charter of ASEAN Chief Justices Council and current agendas were also mainly included in the discussion. Then, ASEAN Chief Justices signed the agreements in the Manila declaration and Memorandum of Understanding in relation to the ASEAN Judicial Portal for the implementation of the Internat Portal. Representatives from cooperation meeting were also discussed at the special meeting, it is learnt.—MNA
