Two villages in Natogyi light up

Letwae and Myinni villages in Natogyi Township were provided with 24 hour access to electricity on 19 September. The township in Mandalay Region is aiming to have 100 percent access to the grid in the coming months and years. Of the township’s 186 villages, 56 villages have access to electricity. Union Minister for Transport and Railways U Nyan Tun Aung said during a ceremony held on September 19 that he was pleased to see development projects making progress. Meanwhile, a village elder said that he never expected to be able to see electricity in his village and that he was overwhelmed by the benefits of the change.
