THREE fertiliser factories which have been temporarily suspended due to lack of raw materials will return to normal operation when inland and off-shore blocks produce further quantities of natural gas, it has been learned.
At an Amyotha Hluttaw meeting yesterday, Deputy Minister for Electric Power and Energy Dr Tun Naing clarified that old equipment and a shortage of natural gas forced three fertiliser factories to temporarily halt production.
The Myanmar Petrochemical Enterprise of the Ministry of Electric Power and Energy remains the governing body of the factories.
