Thayetpin Dam in Ywapalaegyi village and Phonegyi Lake in Yinmabin village are being built in Thazi Township, Mandalay Region, for local water sufficiency.
The infrastructure projects are being implemented by the township’s Rural Development Department under the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Rural Development. The facilities will supply drinking water as well as agricultural irrigation to the area.
The projects were inspected by Meiktila District department head U Thin Min Latt and officials on 24 October. They also viewed the agriculture and livestock breeding works funded by the ministry’s Emerald Green Project at Katkyaeinn and Saegyima villages.
