Tatkon Township upgrades 40 basic education schools


A ceremony to upgrade a basic education high school branch to a full-fledged BEHS was held in Magyibin village, Tatkon Township, on 6 July.
Established as a primary school in 1941, the school was initially upgraded to a basic education high school branch in 2013 before becoming a BEHS this year. At present, the school located on a 4.64-acre plot admits 1,072 students from 22 villages. Officials of Nay Pyi Taw Council also attended a ceremony to open an upgraded BEHS branch in Htonbo village.
Local authorities and Ministry of Education have upgraded dozens of schools throughout the township, according to the Township Education Department.–Tin Soe Lwin (Tatkon)
