A suspicious fire that began in a shop in Ngakhuya Village broke out at about 8.30 pm on Sunday. Border guard forces who helped extinguish the blaze.
As the fire spread to other buildings, the border guards had to ask local people from other villages and members of the security forces to assist them in bringing the fire under control.
The fire engulfed six shops including a motorcycle repair shop, motorcycle parts shop, a furniture shop, a barber shop and two empty stores. Tatmadaw troops and border guards continue to provide security for local people. — Myawady
