A TREE uprooted by strong wind fell onto a transformer in Haka, Chin State, at around 4:30am yesterday, cutting off power there, as Cyclone Roanu crossed the state.
Several lamp posts on the Haka-Gangaw road collapsed, and stones from the surrounding hills fell the road, blocking traffic, according to the Haka District Information and Public Relations Department.
Local authorities and employees from the electric and road construction departments are clearing the road.—GNLM
