State Counsellor receives former PM of Norway, AIIB president

The State Counsellor and the Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi received Mr. Kjell Magne Bondevik, former Prime Minister of Norway and the Founder and President of the Oslo Center for Peace and Human Rights, yesterday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on ongoing peace process of Myanmar, matters related to Rakhine State and possible area of cooperation between Myanmar and Norway.
Daw Aung San Suu Kyi also received a delegation led by Mr. Liqun JIN, President of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) yesterday afternoon at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mr. Hong Liang, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar also accompanied the delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed matters relating to the cooperation between Myanmar and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) including developing infrastructure sector such as development of waterway and railways and economic development in Myanmar.—Myanmar News Agency
