State Counsellor receives Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs

State Counsellor and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi received the delegation led by the Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) Ms. Ursula Mueller at 11:15 a.m. on 14 May 2019, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the matters relating to the Humanitarian Assistance programmes undertaken by the United Nations in Myanmar and provision of assistance by the United Nations in the implementation of the Government’s initiative National Strategic Plan for the closure of IDP camps, as well as peace and development in Myanmar.
Also present at the meeting were Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Win Myat Aye and the officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. — MNA
