STATE Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi received General Xu Qiliang, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the People’s Republic of China, at Seinle Kantha State Guesthouse in Yangon yesterday.
During the meeting matters relating to further relations and cooperation between the two Defence Services were discussed.
During the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission said that the State Counsellor’s goodwill visit to China has strengthened bilateral relations between the two countries.
The purpose of his visit to Myanmar is to cement bilateral ties, added the Central Military Commission Vice Chairman, highlighting the importance of people-to-people connectivity and cooperation between the two Defence Services.
