State Counsellor and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi received Dr. Stephan Paul Jost, newly appointed World Health Organization (WHO) Representative to Myanmar and accepted his credentials on 8 February 2017 at 10:00 hrs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pay Taw.
During the meeting, they exchanged views relating to future cooperation between Myanmar and WHO, as well as matters relating to providing quality health services, distribution of affordable medicines, nutrition and mental health development and production and distribution of healthy food for the people.—Myanmar News Agency
