THE SMEs Knowledge Awareness Workshop, organised by the Mandalay Computer Entrepreneurs Association, PUM Netherlands Senior Experts and the Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection (DISI) under the Union Ministry of Industry, was held in the hall of MICT Park in Chanayethazan Township, Mandalay, on 26 April.
At the ceremony, the U Myo Htut Swe of DISI explained measures to provide techniques for small and medium businesses and textile industries to obtain loans.
U Thein Htut, the managing director of Yadanabon Cyber Corporation and vice chairman of the Myanmar Computer Professionals Association elaborated on delivery techniques, regional development and human resources.
An agricultural expert from PUM Netherlands Senior Experts discussed the thriving coffee cultivation in Pyin Oo Lwin, which exports coffee that meets international standards to ASEAN countries and to the EU. He also discussed the cultivation of mango trees around Mandalay and packaging techniques.
Daw Eai Shwe Zin, the director of the Department of Small and Medium Enterprises Development, elaborated on the policies to promote SME development and investment.
She then responded to questions from attendees.
