Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with defence services personnel at the Coco Island Station at the Coco Island Naval Command yesterday.
The commander of the naval command reported to the senior general on implementation of plans to the senior general.
After hearing reports, the senior general gave instructions on transporting local people and staff and their goods on naval ships and military planes free of charge, job opportunities and income generation of local people and families of the defence services personnel, finding ways for desalination of sea water for agriculture and generation of electricity from wind and solar power.
Then, the senior general delivered a speech to the defence services personnel and their families.
Later, the senior general and senior military officers presented assistance and gifts.
Afterwards, the senior general and party proceeded to Sasana Mandaing Monastery and donated offertories to the abbot of the monastery.
Later, the senior general and party met with government employees and town elders and delivered a speech, before greeting them warmly.
Then, the senior general and party inspected round the green house plantation, poultry farm, manufacturing of home decoration items made of coconut products of the naval command and construction of Coco Island Jetty.—Myanmar News Agency
